Description of Surrounding Area

"The Garden" is located in the heart of Utah. We are 3 miles from Historic Spring City, a quaint Mormon village and 20 miles north of the Manti Temple. (Manti Miracle Pageant is the middle of June)
The architecture of the homes and buildings in Sanpete County is fascinating! On the last Saturday in May many homes in Spring City are open to tours. The Scandinavian Festival is held in Ephraim at the same time offering crafts and ethnic foods!
Handmade pottery, furniture, jewelry, violins and quilts may be viewed or purchased from local craftsmen year-round. Locally harvested honey, wheat grass(juice) and sunflower sprouts are also available. A small Mt. Pleasant winery gives tours occassionally. Several fine artists display their paintings in the art center for your pleasure or purchase.
In rural Sanpete County, you may be engulfed by a herd of sheep on the road, but no traffic jams! Turkeys are also a locally grown and processed item. Plentiful wildlife includes: elk, mule deer, pheasants, magpies, eagles(in the winter),hawks and many other birds, ground squirrels, chipmunks, and pocket gophers. Occassionally seen are badgers, coyotes, bear, mountain lions, rock chucks(yellow marmots),and weasels.

Sunsets are usually spectacular! Lots of sagebrush, wildflowers and rocks on the way to the stream.

Scenic Skyline Drive is awesome if you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle in the summer or snowmobile in the winter!

Antique and craft shops are numerous is the surrounding towns. Small towns in Sanpete are 5-10 miles apart

Description of Accommodations

Horse boarding is available for guests.

We offer a patio with a fantastic view and 20 acres to explore!
We have a firepit to roast hot dogs and make smores or use our dutch oven to cook your own western style meal!! You can pack a picnic lunch and go on a hike or just eat by the brook while you enjoy mother nature. We are 2 miles from the Manti-LaSal National Forest which is closed to vehicles and is great hiking.

We provide a laundry room and kitchenette for all the comforts of home. Snacks are always available in your fridge and Southern hospitality is served along with your continental plus breakfast!

Description of Rooms/Suites

The Sunflower Room is spacious, with a comfy queen bed. Summer time brings a flower garden outside your window. A kitchenette and a tv/vcr are provided for your comfort and entertainment.
The Rose Room also has a queen bed and vcr. A view of Mt. Nebo and the valley are included! The Sunflower and Rose Room share a bath and kitchenette. Group rates are available.
The Lilac room includes a kitchenette and a private shower that is large enough for two! You can often see deer right out your window as well as Hummingbirds and swallows in the summer & eagles in the winter.
The sitting room and flower bedecked patio is shared.

Amenities

We provide a view of nature and exercise trails. Snow College in Ephraim is 15 minutes away and has an indoor pool and racquet ball court. A bowling alley and movie theatre are also available.
An old-fashioned outdoor drive-in theatre is open in the summertime in Mt. Pleasant.
A great 18 hole golf course is available at Palisade State Park, a 30 minute drive south.

Restrictions

All ages are welcome and we especially enjoy families!

Smoking and pets are restricted to the outdoors.

Rates & Availability

Rooms are generally $75.00 per couple. Off season and group rates are available. Extra children may use sleeping bags on the floor for $5.00 each.

Directions

At Nephi I-15 exit #225 head East. You will go through Fountain Green and Moroni and Mt. Pleasant. In Mt. Pleasant turn right (South) at Highway 89 (State Street). We have no Red Lights! Just South of town the 4 lane becomes a 2 lane road. Then a left turning lane and you will see a sign that indicates Spring City is to your left. Take that road! You will travel through town(don't blink) to 4th South.
At 4th South turn East(right), go 5 blocks-the road will make a 90 degree turn South. Follow this rock road for two and One-half miles and cross 2 cattle guards. It will be on your left-a cedar siding house. I will send you a map, but it is easy, just watch out for the deer and sheep!
