Castine Harbor Lodge is Castine's only waterfront Hotel. The guest rooms and honeymoon cottage overlook the spectular scenery of Penobscot Bay. Restaurants, shops and galleries are a short waterfront walk away. Relax on our waterfront verandas.
Castine is located in the heart of Penobscot Bay. Know for it's Historic Village, Elm tree lined streets, Museums, Maine Maritime Academy, Dyce's Head Lighthouse and Historic walking tour it is a great place to relax and unwind. Centrally located an hour from most attractions. Acadia National Park, Deer Isle, Stonnington, Camden, Belfast, Blue Hill. There are many great day trips that can be made.
The Lodge was built in 1893 as a private residence. It has been a Hotel since the 40's. All the guest rooms
and main community areas have spectacular views of the harbor and islands. The guest rooms are simply furnished in a variety of styles. Comfortable with sitting area's, private bathrooms (some with great views as well!) The lodge offers over 250 feet of decks to relax on. A dock to walk out on.
The Lodge has an on site Restaurant "The Bagaduce Oyster Bar" which offers fine cusine in a relaxed atmosphere. Specializing in local seafood, oysters, produce and great meats. The wine list offers something for everyone and a reserve private cellar for those with more discriminating taste.
Policies & Restrictions
Pets are allowed if prior arrangements are made. They must be well behaved, kept on a leash, not left in the room unattended and there is a $10/night charge.
Well behaved children are allowed and there is a $20/extra person charge
Smoking is not allowed in the Lodge, but is accepted on the grounds and decks.
