Provincetown Cape Cod - The carriage House offers lodging and accommodations in the center of town. A charming New England town situated at the tip of Historic Cape Cod, Provincetown is Filled with traditional New England Captain's Houses, Churches, Cottages, Hotels and inns. Provincetown is a beautiful destination resort. The indigenous people are the Wampanoag tribe of Eastern Massachusetts & Cape Cod, the first to meet the Pilgrims. The Pilgrims, early English settlers who founded the Plymouth Colony, first set foot on American soil here in 1620 before venturing on to Plymouth. A community developed on the site about 1700 & Provincetown was incorporated in 1727. Provincetown is the site of the tall granite Pilgrim Monument, commemorating the Pilgrims' landing & the signing in the harbor of the Mayflower Compact.For over a Century an Artist Community has flourished here, having been home to Charles Hawthorne, Jackson Pollock, Eugene O'Neil, The Provincetown Players (founded here in 1915) Cole Porter, Norman Mailer, Sebastian Unger & many well known artists. For the last few decades a thriving Gay Community has vacationed here attracted from around the world. This makes for an eclectic mix of people, shops, galleries, cafes, restaurants & nightlife. There is something in Provincetown for everyone, whether you like to lay on a beach, cycle on the dunes bike paths, or pass the day at a cafe. Other activities include kayaking, hiking, whale watching, off-roading trails, all types of boat rentals & spectacular sunset cruises in Provincetown Harbour and Cape Cod Bay.

The Carriage House guesthouse in Provincetown, Cape Cod is a perfect blend of luxurious space, amenities, privacy and location. We provide accommodations and lodging in the center of Provincetown. The guesthouse has a wonderful private Courtyard and enclosed deck at the front of the inn, sunny boardwalks and breakfast sundeck with extra large Hot Tub at the very private rear and an enclosed colonial style front porch with fireplace. There is also a well equipped guest office with high speed Internet Access, a traditional French Farm kitchen and separate dining room, all this in a stylish and subtle environment. Our rooms are very large for Cape Cod and have 'Every Amenity in Every Room' such as . This is all amidst a house built in 1850 with wonderful ship cut wood floors from the era. It has been renovated and updated just this spring 2000. Take advantage of our first season's highly competitive rates.

Take the third left into Provincetown and at the end of Shankpainter Road take a left, then first right onto Winthrop, again right onto Commercial st. and finally first right onto Central. The Carriage House Provincetown is the fifth house on the right.
