Staunton is in the heart of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, at the crossroads of Interstate 81 and 64.

Staunton itself is an award-winning Mainstreet Community. The downtown area, which you can walk to, is filled with interesting shops and restaurants.

Accommodations

The historic Carriage House features a completely-renovated interior while keeping the unique design of the exterior. Exposed-beams, an open staircase, and a fireplace are part of the first floor, which features a Living Room, Dining Area, and bathroom. There is a king-sized bedroom upstairs. A special seating area overlooks the gardens. A microwave and small refrigerator are also furnished to make this the perfect honeymoon getaway. Additional sleeping space is accomplished by using the pull-out sofa.

Two additional guest rooms are in the Main House (as well as a third room for those requiring additional sleeping space). The TV Lounge is also located in the Main House.

Three separate gardens separate the Main House from the Carriage House. There is a large, formal water garden, the lower shade garden, and the annual garden.

A sumptious, gourmet breakfast is served in the elegant Dining Room.

Rooms/Suites

The Enchanted Cottage Room features a fireplace and a private attached bath. It also has a queen-sized brass bed, a table with Windsor chairs overlooking downtown Staunton, and a seating area in front of the fireplace.

The 1890's Room has a private hall bath, a double bed, and a seating area.

The Garden Room overlooks the back gardens and features a double bed, a seating area, and a private hall bath.

Amenities

The TV Lounge is on the second floor of the Main House; refreshments are served here in the late afternoon.

We are pleased to be able to accept pets in The Carriage House although there is a $15.00 additional charge due to special cleaning requirements.

The 1890's Room: $115.00 double occupancy; $95.00 single occupancy.

The Enchanted Cottage Room: $135.00 double occupancy; $115.00 single occupancy.

The Carriage House: $165.00 double occupancy; $145.00 single occupancy ($15.00 extra/pet charge)

Other Information

Sumptuous, gourmet breakfasts are served in the Dining Room. Guests are provided with a daily menu, with menu choices. We also do our best to accommodate your dietary preferences. A wide variety of gourmet teas and coffee is available.

Directions

After exiting from Interstate 81, follow directions and signs to Downtown Staunton and to the Woodrow Wilson Birthplace, which is on the corner of Coalter and Frederick. Turn onto Frederick and continue for six blocks. The Staunton Choral Gardens bed and breakfast is on the left-hand side: red brick house, black shutters, large boxwoods lining the sideway. #216 West Frederick Street (in historic downtown Staunton).
