Locanda Da Scarso is a guesthouse managed by the Scarso family since 1929.
The guesthouse is located in Malamocco, the oldest part of Venice on Lido Island, between the Adriatic Sea and the Venetian lagoon. There is a beautiful public beach located minutes from our guest-house.
The guesthouse is on the first floor of a typical palace dated back to the 15th century, from where you can enjoy an amazing view of the sunset on the lagoon.
Our 6 rooms have someones private bathroom, someones are ensuites , some of them with terrace. There are two common rooms for breakfast, relax watching TV or reading.
On the main floor you 'd find the famous restaurant Trattoria da Scarso, frequented by renowned people like Corto Maltese, where you can have lunch or dinner.
Attention: for this property cancellation policy must be notified at least 48 hours prior to local Italian arrival time of booking only by fax or by email !!!
The 2 twin private rooms have their private exclusive w.c and shower reserved only for the room's guests, just in front of the room door.
Breakfast,towels and linen included.
We are open from January to December.
Malamocco is 6km from downtown Venice.
From Venice Marco Polo airport take boat Alilaguna to Lido Island.
From Train Station (S. Lucia Venice Station):
Take public water transportation (lines 1,51, 52) or from Venice bus terminal Piazzale Roma(lines 1,6, 51, 52) to the Island of Lido (get off at the Lido Stop. It's impossible to miss. Lido is the last stop). From here you will take Bus A or Bus B towards Malamocco Village. Get off at the bus stop in Malamocco village after15 minutes trip ; We are located across the street from the bus stop, in Piazzale Malamocco n° 4 .
By car from Venice car Tronchetto terminal ferry boat n° 17 to Lido, every 50 min.
There is bus every 10 minutes during the day (from 06.00 to 21.00) and every 20 min all nigh long( from 21.00 till 06.00) .
The public boats from Lido to Venice are every 5-10 minutes during the day(06.00till 22.00) ,and every 20 minutes during the night( from 22.00 till 06.00 am).
It is possible to reach S. Marco Square in just 25/30 minutes anytime of the day from Malamocco
The transportation system is very efficient.
