Active Adventure

Adventure Holidays in Normandys Adventure Playground the Suisse Normande.We offer Mountainbiking,Roadbiking/tours (including special TOUR DE FRANCE WEEKEND the highlight being a champagne picnic at the final stage in Paris 2005), Kayaking,rockclimbing,waterskiing/wakeboarding,hiking & horseriding. We cater for levels from beginner to advanced. All our activities are supervised by professional guides and instructors. All bike rides have vechile support.

Typical Day

Wake up to the sound of the river and the smell of freshly baked french bread.
A hearty breakfast is served from 8-9am every morning.
The adventure/ride begins around 10am everyday and our guides take you off into the french counrtyside to explore the wonderful mbk trails/quiet counrty lanes/rivers/rocks for climbing,absailing and Paragliding/horseriding bridleways/lakes for waterskiing that suisse normande has to offer.
We stop for Lunch around 12-2pm at either a nice picturesque picnic spot by a river or on top of a huge cliff with a wonderful veiw or in a local restaurant or creperie(all included in price)
Then it's back to the same or another activity after Lunch and we normally arrive back at the RocknRoll Adventures HQ about 4-6pm depending on the group and activity thast you have been doing to the smell of a freshly baked cake witha steaming pot of tea, or the the sound of a bottle of beer being popped open and the crunching of hazelnuts fresh from our tree.
After you have freshened up maybe even relaxed either in the Garden,comfortable lounge or by the river in a hammock, dinner will be served around 7-8pm. Dinner consists of a minimum of 3 courses with wine finishing of with a cheese board and a lovely calvados coffee.

Then after dinner it is up to you whether you walk across the bridge to the bar for a drink, or watch a film in the lounge or quietely sneak of to bed. And the next time you wake up it might be to the sound of the church bells ringing or the smell of sizzling bacon...............

Age range, type of group

RocknRoll Adventures caters for a maximum of 10 people at any one time. We welcome everyone on our holidays.........groups,singles and familys.

Sleeping and meals

RocknRoll Adventures has 5 bedrooms which can be arranged any which way the group specifies. Twins, Doubles, Triples, Singles, Double & a cot etc. We aim to please, as it is your holiday we want to make it special and memorable.

Meals- Breakfast (french bread, croissants,jams,eggs,coffee,tea,juice,cereals,yogurts)
Lunch-picnic lunch (baguettes with tasty fillings-ham,cheese,tuna,eggetc) or twice a week a local french restaurant and a creperie
Dinner- minimum 3 course meal with wine, cheese board and coffee. Example: French onion soup, Barbeque, Chocolate fondue, Corbierres red wine or Muscadet sur lie white wine, Brie&St Agur, Calvados coffee and a chocolate to finish.

Restrictions

No Pets. No smoking in the Lodge. Smoking only permitted in the garden.

Other Information

There is also Kiyaking avaliable on the river that flows at the back of the house. It is a 3 hour long Kiyak to the village of Clecy. You hire Kiyaks either for 1 or 2 people and the you are collected at the other end 4 hours later, so you can picnic on the way to clecy or you can llok forward to a nice restaurant cooked meal at one of the many avaliable in Clecy itself. This is a brilliant thing to do and we recommend it to everyone that stays with us. There are lots of other things to do if you are feeling less active. Highlights include D-day landing beaches, The Bayeaux Tapestry, Mont Saint Michelle and Paris all within a 2 hours drive.
