
The Trojan Horse Lodge is located in Ludlow in central Vermont. The century old carriage barn is outfitted with six bunks in each of our three dorms. The bunks are solidly built and have firm, twin size mattresses.There are two large modern bathrooms with hot showers, a self service kitchen, and cable TV in the common room.
The hostel is located 3 minutes from Okemo Mountain Ski Resort and the surrounding hills and forests, lakes and streams are good for fishing, swimming, canoeing, hiking, camping, gold panning and cross country skiing.
This casual lodge is within walking distance of the village and its craft, antique and gift shops and fine restaurants with a good variety of fare.
Directions
The Trojan Horse Lodge is located in central Vermont on Route 100, just a 1/4 mile south of Main St., Ludlow. Main Street is Vermont Routes 100 and 103 .
From Boston, MA (3.5 hours)
Take route 93 north to route 89. Continue north on route 89 to the Sunapee, NH exit onto route 103 NH. Route 103 NH will take you through Claremont, NH to Ascutney, VT. When you cross the river you will be on route 131 VT. This will bring you to route 103 VT, turn right and come into Ludlow. The next intersection after the traffic light is route 100. Turn left onto route 100 south, we are about a 1/4 mile on the left. There is a sign at the driveway.

From Hartford, CT and Springfield, MA area (2 hours)
Take route 91 north to the Ludlow, VT exit. This will be route 131 VT. This will bring you to route 103 VT, turn right and come into Ludlow. The next intersection after the traffic light is route 100. Turn left onto route 100 south, we are about a 1/4 mile on the left. There is a sign at the driveway.
From New York City( 4 - 5 hours)
Cross to route 91 in Hartford, CT and follow directions above.
OR
From Albany CT (2 hours)
You can cross to Vermont on NY route 7. This changes to VT route 9. Follow VT route 9 to Bennington and turn onto VT route 7 north. In Manchester take the routes 11 & 30 exit. Turn right onto route 11 and follow through to Londonderry. There you will find route 100, turn left on route 100 north. Follow this through Weston, then route 100 turns right up over a hill. At the bottom of the other side of this hill is Ludlow. We are on the right side just before you get to the village Main Street. Look for the sign at the driveway.
From Lake George, NY area
You can cross into Vermont on route 4. Stay on route 4 to Rutland, turn right on route 7 south. Turn left on route 103 toward Ludlow. As you come into the village the road sweeps to the left. Watch for the Jiffy Mart on the right as you enter town. Turn right at the Jiffy Mart onto route 100 south, we are about a 1/4 mile on the left. There is a sign at the driveway.
From points East
Try to get to routes 89, 93, or 91, then follow directions from the selection above.
From Montreal
Take US route 89 south to route 91 to the Ludlow, VT exit. This will be route 131 VT. This will bring you to route 103 VT, turn right and come into Ludlow. The next intersection after the traffic light is route 100. Turn left onto route 100 south, we are about a 1/4 mile on the left. There is a sign at the driveway. Or come south on US route 87 through New York and cross into Vermont through Whitehall and Fair Haven then follow directions for Lake George above.
From Quebec
Take US route 91 south to the Ludlow, VT exit. Then follow directions for Montreal above.
Bus service is through Greyhound / Vermont Transit. They have connecting service from Boston (and Logan Airport), New York City, Albany, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Montreal. The bus stop in Ludlow is a 1/3 of a mile walk from the Hostel. Contact Greyhound or a local travel agent for schedules and connecting information.
