The Medieval Country Resort "Le Torri di Bagnara" seat on a hill overlooking a wide part of the Tiber Northern Valley, 11 miles north of Perugia, at 300 m over the sea level. The Tiber Northern Valley is also called “Museum Valley” because of its beauty, art and culture. It is a fertile plain, entirely crossed by the river that flows for about 50 km from Perugia to Città di Castello, in the northern part of Umbria.The Resort stands in the centre of a 1.500 acres/600 hectares breathtaking Farm Estate, owned by the noble family Tremi-Giunta since 1901. The estate cultivates agricultural crops, roes, hares and the famous Chianina cattle; there is abundant wildlife and areas for walking & biking. The estate itself is crossed by the river Tiber and dotted with 4 small lakes, brooks and 5 mediaeval castles, animal growings, hunting reserve.

Accommodations

The complex is made of 3 Historic Buildings: LA TORRE (12th century tower ), that has been renovated to house 4 apartments with 2, 4, 5 beds, with reading room, comon laundry, terraced garden with children's playground and barbecue area, panoramic terrace, covered parking. SAINT QUIRICO ABBEY (11th century abbey with a bell-tower, church and parish house), since JUNE 2005, it features a Relais de Charme with 4 luxury double rooms, 3 Jr. suites, restaurant, bar, bothanic gardens,parking. It is wholly realised with stones, of the XI century and bound by the Umbrian Monuments and Fine Arts Office.It’s very ancient and for this reason it appears in all the geographic cards and several times Papa Leone XIII stayed there around XIX century. The TORRE and the PIEVE are on the hill and are at 100 m. distance. Le Torri di Bagnara features also a LARGE sea salt water PRIVATE PANORAMIC SWIMMING POOL (120 SQM), for all the guests, that is set in a panoramic position overlooking the valley and it is sunny from dawn to dusk.

11th century Tower APARTMENTS:The Residence offers 4 exclusive apartments with 2, 4 & 5 beds, plus one single room with bathroom that can be rent in addition to one of the apartments, or if one more bed is needed – total sleeps 16. Apartments differ in their size but they are all very elegant and have a wonderful view over the Tiber Valley and the surrounding woods.They feature sat. full kitchen with dishwasher, coloured sat TV, 19th century antiques furnishings, barrel vault ceilings, terracotta floors, Romanesque windows, working fireplace; each apartment has towels, bed and household linen, swim towels, an independent heating system, telephone & WIFI access; all beds have bed base with beech wood laminated slats. Guests share a large common living room with a panoramic terrace with barbecue area, , common laundry and covered parking.11th century Abbey RELAIS de CHARME:In the ABBEY are 4 double rooms and 3 luxury Jr suites (in total 15 bed seats).All the rooms have air conditioning, private bathroom including bathtub and shower (some with hydromassage bathtub), web service, satellite TV, telephone, WIFI access, mini-bar, hairdryer, towels for the swimming-pool, and are furnished with autentic XVIII and XIX century forniture. There are wooden-beam cealings or fresco ones and brick floors. In the central body (PARISH HOUSE) are three double rooms and two Jr suites with the windows that overlook the gardens, the swimming-pool and the Tevere valley. They are positined in two floors, the ground mezzanine floor and the first floor. On the first floor of the SACRISTY are a Double room and a Jr suite; they have independent entrance and for this reason are suitable for a family or a group of four people. They’re located on the first floor, the windows overlook the court and the swimming-pool, and one can enter through an external stone staircase

Amenities

The inner Restaurant serves a genuine umbrian cookery made with the products of our farms (doc wine, dop extra virgin olive oil, vegetables, "Chianina" cattle meat, eggs, honey) and of other umbrian farms (milk, salami, cheese, ham, fruit, ecc.). On request is available a tailor made diet such as: vegetarian, vegan, egg free,...Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, 6 days a week.
The Bar with poolside service is open every day.

- Tower Apartments: lease is weekly, from Saturday to Saturday - Abbey Double Rooms & Jr.Suites: 2, 3 or 7 nights minimum policy, depending on the seaon. - Smocking is forbidden in all rooms. - Pets are not allowed.

Directions

Secluded but at the centre of Umbria, LE TORRI DI BAGNARA can be easily reached from the main roads. It is 15 minutes away from Perugia and 30 minutes from Tuscany. Less than 2 hours north of Rome & south of Florence. It is 4 km far from the E45 freeway (Orte-Ravenna, exit “Resina”), which is directly connected to the A1 motorway (Roma-Firenze) and A14 motorway (Bologna-Bari). The international airport of Perugia-Sant’Egidio is only 18 km far - Ryanair flights available.
