See the diverse and colorful countryside of southwest Colorado and the famous Four Corners area with your hosts, Steven and Connie Coy.
You will stay with us in our comfortable home we fondly call Canyon View inn because the backyard overlooks the impressive Hartman Canyon, and faces the majestic Sleeping Ute Mountain to the west. You will enjoy fantastic southwest sunsets from the privacy of our patio, or while soaking in the soothing comfort of our mountain-view hot tub.
You Get to Hand-pick The Legs of Your Journey!
We offer a customized tour package which includes four nights of
lodging and three days of relaxed day-tours personally chauffeured
in a comfortable custom van. Imagine yourself experiencing the
sights, sounds, and mountain fresh air of such places as:
1. the quaint high mountain town of Telluride and an exciting
gondola ride up and down the mountain-side.
2. the famous Mesa Verde National Park with its ancient Anasazi cliff-dwelling sites. You can almost visualize the natives of yesteryear trying to eke out their survival in what must have been a remote and harsh environment.
3. the beautiful and colorful Arches National Park outside Moab, Utah; raft the nearby and famous Colorado River.
4. the Sand Canyon area west of Cortez while hiking, backpacking, and exploring remote and ancient Indian ruins.
5. the Hovenweep National Historic site, and the Four Corners
National Monument where you can stand and straddle four states
at once - Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah.
6. or enjoy an unsupervised evening of dinner and fun at the Ute Mountain Casino of Towaoc, Co., ten miles south of Cortez.
7. or relax on a high country picnic outing of the beautiful La Plata Mountains with peaks rising to over thirteen thousand feet.
8. or fish the beautiful lakes and streams of southwest Colorado.
9. or ride the narrow gauge railroad from Durango to Silverton (there is an additional cost of $50 for this option).
