The Area

Vrabac Guesthouse is located in the heart of old Barcelona, in the Gothic Quarter. 3 minutes walk from Plaza Catalunya and the world famous Ramblas with its human statues, shops, theaters and restaurants.
The Gothic Quarter where Vrabac is located, during the day is a hive of activity and very lively. You can see people of all cultures stroll around and enjoy the pleasures of the area.
The Gothic is the perfect place to experience the magic of the night in Barcelona: narrow streets, interesting bars to drink a glass of Rioja wine, Catalan tapas and live music.

Vrabac is a Guesthouse, not a Hotel. However our philosophy is to give you all the facilities of a hotel but to make feel you welcome, safe and well cared for like at home.

We are extremely conscientious of our environment and encourage responsible behaviors concerning food and energy issues.

Vrabac is a tolerant and open-minded place. Gay friendly. Our Guest Family and Friends return year after year. Spring, summer, fall and winter, our returning friends always say, 'It's so good to be back!�.

Our staff is available and eager to help you plan your activities during your stay. They'll provide you with area maps and brochures and are very helpful with tour recommendations or dinner reservations.

The House

Vrabac Guesthouse is a traditional hosting site, made with love.
It occupies an old house. We have preserved modernist period details such as floors, original woodwork S XIX, handmade ceilings and much of the interior decoration.
Arriving at Vrabac you will immerse yourself in an oasis of warmth and peace that caresses your senses: comfortable rooms, friendly service that will make you feel pampered and at home. The peace of Vrabac contrasts with the life and animation that exists in the surrounding streets.
Every morning you have the chance to enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet, while the sun pours through the windows of the room and winks at you.
Your feet will transit tiles with a thousand stories of love, freedom, research, art.
Vrabac�s furniture has a great history. Many of the furnishings are handcrafted by Catalan master carpenters, others furniture have been bought at flea markets or vintage shops in different parts of the world. They are objects with a story to tell, they have been recycled, and they have been returned to life so that you enjoy them.
Throughout the house you can see original artwork, the art encourages you to see the world through different eyes.

The Rooms
We paid particular attention to our 11 rooms. All the rooms have different decoration and spatial arrangement. This way you will always find a room that suits you. Rooms are equipped with everything you need to have a comfortable stay.

Useful information



The single, double, twin or triple room shared bathroom have a private bathroom but it is NOT En Suite (bathroom is for private use -not shared- but it is outside the room).



� CHECK-IN: 13:00 PM (We are flexible, so please contact us if you need an earlier time)
� CHECK-OUT: 11.00 AM
� Payment must be made in cash by bank transfer or paypal. We do not work with credit cards.
� Confirmation of booking is made directly to the email provided by the guest, who MUST report the details of arrival time, flight number or other pertinent information.
� Cancellation policy: 72hrs except from April 1st to to October 31st and from February 27th to March 4th which is a week.
� Rooms are separated on two floors. The building is without elevator.
� For the comfort of all guests, smoking inside the rooms and common areas is prohibited.

Directions

From the Barcelona airport take the Aero Bus until Plaza Catalunya station. From there you have to walk straight down las Ramblas, in direction to the sea. You have to walk 3 blocks and on the left starts Portaferrisa Street. You have to turn left and walk 50 meters until the number 14. Taxi from the airport will charge you around 30 EUR.

From Girona take the bus till Barcelona Center. The bus arrives at Estacio del Nord. Take the metro (Line 1 -Red-) till Catalunya Station.There you have to change to line 3 until Liceu station. Liceu Station is just in Ramblas, walk 2 blocks up and turn right where you will find Portaferrisa Street.
