A charming residence set in an exceptional location - Il Sorger del Sole Country House B&B is a listed stone-built casa colonica and steeped in history. Nestled into the tranquil hillside of Colle S.Giorgio with over four acres of luscious gardens and ancient olive groves, its elevated position commands magnificent panoramic views of the patchwork rolling hills of Marche, distant medieval towns on hilltops, Monte Conero and the Adriatic Sea.

The house is unique and full of character and has been restored with loving care. The guest rooms are beautiful, individually designed and stunningly styled with independent entrances allowing you, your privacy.

The romantic and spacious master en-suite double guest room has a wonderful relaxing ambiance. It has a seating area with leather sofa and is furnished with an inviting and comfortable double bed with iron frame, full size fridge, bathrobes and hairdryer. Charming en-suite shower room.

The romantic double/twin guest room is charming. It is accessed through a private wooden portico with a vine hanging covered in grapes in summer leading to double glass doors to the bedroom with seating area and door to a spacious private dressing/shower room.
Furnished with fridge, bathrobes and hairdryer. The double bed is large, comfortable and inviting. Please advise your hosts after booking if you require the room making up as a twin with stylish wrought iron beds.

Room rates include our Italian breakfast (continental) which is served until 9.30am and 11.00am on Sundays, welcome and complimentary room drinks (re-stocked daily with 75ml of white and 75ml red wine, beer, mineral water & milk), complimentary tea & coffee, soap and shower gel, ideal for guests who are traveling with only hand luggage.

There are local gourmet restaurants to please foodies and also many everyday restaurants offering a set meal of the day from 12 euros and in our local villages of Troviggiano and Avenale, both within walking distance, restaurants offer a 10% discount to our guests.

Directions

Il sorger del sole is situated on a quiet country road half way between the villages of Avenale and Troviggiano. When arriving in Avenale at the crossroads near the bar/shop take the sharp turning down the hill signposted to S. Venanzo and continue until you see our sign B&B & No. 40. When arriving in Troviggiano take the road uphill from the main square signposted to S. Venanzo and continue until you see our sign B&B & No. 40 on your left. Regular trains from Rome, Milan or Bologna to Ancona or Fabriano with connections to Macerata or Jesi. There are buses from Macerata to most Italian cities including two buses a day to/from Rome. Local bus service in next village Troviggiano to Macerata and Cingoli with onward connections. Visit our website for more information.
