Babashak is a place of peace and tranquility full of natural vibes, set just 15 feet from the Caribbean Sea. Here you will experience the most amazing sunrises, magical sunsets and real Jamaican Hospitality.
We are located in the small resort town of Runaway Bay, seventy minutes away from the Donald Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay (mbj).
 
There are many activities in and around St Ann for everyone staying at Babashak. Ocho Rios is only 25 minutes away by car, Richmond Estate the new home of the revived Reggae Sunsplash is a 7 minutes drive, Dunn's River Falls and Dolphin Cove is 20 minutes by car. You may include a combination of activities with your stay at BabaShak, or decide you want a lazy vacation relaxing on the beach whilst being fed by us or mixed with light activities such as jet skiing and exploring the local community and fishing beach near-by.
You can do as much or as little as you want at Babashak.

The view from Babashak is absolutely breathtaking at all times. Watching the sun set and the moon rise is a favorite pastime with the sound of the waves, surrounding natural life and the magnificent ocean to keep you company. Many have found the changing shades of the turquoise waters to be almost hypnotic and have spent many hours gazing at the sea from our front verandah causing us to rename the area "Wutless" - (A Jamaican colloquialism for lazy).
Babashak is set on almost 2 acres of Land, with the house right up against the sea. Our distinctive calypso red and lemon sherbet colors sets the pace for our funky 70's meets Rasta Caribbean decor. All rental rooms are upstairs, ensuring your privacy from the rest of the house Each room has an extra large balcony, all but one, facing the sea. You will be lulled to sleep by the sound of the surf as it meanders across the beach and serenaded by the tree frogs, crickets and birds. You will have access to your own beach and will not be bothered vendors.

Each room has twin / king beds, television and own bathroom. All rooms have an Sea view. You can choose to have an air conditioned or fan cooled room. Fresh towels are supplied each day as well as maid service. Jamaican Art can be found all over Babashak.

At Babashak, we have very few rules. We are smoking friendly, child friendly, gay friendly, we are just plain friendly.
You will be given your own entrance key for easy access.

Directions

Babashak is located on the main road in Runaway Bay. It's beautiful bright colours are easily seen from the main road. We are the last house on the seaside in Salem which is at the end of Runaway Bay.
We are approximately 70 minutes by car from the Donald Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay (MBJ). From Montego Bay, the road, which is newly developed, hugs the coastline making the drive very scenic.
