The Magnolia House inn
is on the southeastern tip of the Virginia peninsula on the Chesapeake Bay. We are centrally located to Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, Jamestown and Newport News. The Inn is a few blocks from boating piers, museums, and restaurants in downtown Hampton and also a short driving distance to Hampton University, NASA and Langley Air Force Base. Easily accessible from the Newport News/Williamsburg Airport or the Norfolk Regional Airport.
Under four historic Magnolia trees, the wraparound porch welcomes all for a quiet retreat. On the first level , four guest parlors are comfortable and can be used for small gatherings. A guest pantry, stocked with refreshments daily is available to all registered guests. Registered guests also enjoy two queen bedchambers and one king suite on the second level. Spent 1 night, and wished we could stay forever! Joyce and Lankford are very hospitable hosts and innkeepers who make you feel like beloved family. Magnolia House is exquisite and welcoming; you never feel like you're in a living museum -- evrey room calls you to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The room s are comfortable and relaxing, we had the best night's sleep. And can Joyce cook! We stayed overnight to visit our son at Hampton University, and I'm glad for the 'excuse' to vi ... more
