Activity/Tour

All Modus Vivendi tours include hiking, horseback riding, boat trips and night safari rides. You will be guided by a bilingual guide who can describe the vast array of animals, including the black caiman, capybara, painted jaguar, jabiru stork and many more. Night safari rides are particularly fun and provide more optimal chances to see some of the Pantanal's rarer species.

Typical Day

Typical days include two-three excursions and delicious meals at your hotel's restaurant. In between excursions, travelers can relax by the pool with a cascade.

Age range, type of group

All travelers are welcome, however these tours do entail a certain amount of danger. Young children sometimes may not be permitted. Excursions do entail a certain amount of exertion. Modus Vivendi tours are particularly popular with middle age travelers who have always dreamed of an exotic trip like the Pantanal.

Sleeping and meals

All accommodations are at hotel's that provide air conditioning, hot showers and daily maid service. All meals take place at the hotel's restaurant and include regional dishes. Breakfast includes breads, fruits, milk and juices. Lunch is the largest meal of the day and includes many beef, fish, pork and chicken dishes, including rice and beans. There are also always salads. Dinner is similar to lunch.

Policies & Restrictions

Pets are not permitted. Smoking is only permitted when not disturbing others. It is not permitted within vehicles, in restaurants or on excursions. We prefer children older than 12, however we may make exceptions depending on the child's traveling experience. All genders are encouraged.

Rates

Rates for our most popular package, Pantanal Wetlands Safari Tour, are USD$3,500.00 per person. The tour is a nine day tour and includes everything except for th einternational flight, pre travel costs and souvenir money. We also provide shorter tours, tours to the Amazon and custom tours. Other Information

Modus Vivendi Travel Agency has the most fluent English speaking guides in the region. I , the president of Modus Vivendi, am originally from the United States. Other guides have years of English classes, certifications and years of experience doing tours to the Pantanal in English. Tours are limited to eight travelers to provide an intimate experience.
