Differently from others, we offer the following facilities:
-LoLHostel is the only legal hostel in Syracuse
-All our dorms have bathroom inside, you won\'t have to exit the room to get to the bathroom/shower.
-All our dorms have air conditioned and security lockers with key for each guest.
-Our double privates have air conditioned, bathroom inside with hairdryer and bath amenities and also TV, entry-phone and mini fridge in room.
-We are the only low cost structure in town with 300 sq meters of common areas and garden with the cheapest bar in town (local wine from 1 Euro!), where you can meet travelers from all over the world.

-a very nice and comfy huge loft (an entire wing of the building of 130 sq meters) open space on two floors, with 6 bunk beds on the ground floor and 4 in the upper floor, with bathrooms inside, air conditioned/heating and lockers:
-8/10 bed spacious and comfortable dorms (female or mixed), all with bathrooms inside, air conditioned/heating and lockers:
-4bed spacious and comfortable dorms (female or mixed) , with bathrooms inside, air conditioned/heating, and lockers:
-Superior private double rooms with air conditioned and heating, bathroom inside with bath amenities, TV, telephone, mini fridge.

Coast/Beach
Swimming is possible from the rocks which are a short walk away.
Travel
Catania is approximately a 45 minute drive away and Palermo is approximately a 3 hour drive. The Interbus shelter is immediately outside the arrivals building at Catania Airport and the cost is 4.10 euros pp directly into Ortigia at the Riva Della Posta. Go on up to Via Trieste and Via Vittorio Veneto.
Ortigia is best experienced on foot but to explore Sicily there are car hire companies located in Ortigia, which rent cars on a daily basis. There is also ample public transport, coach and train.
Distances
Ortigia has many impressive historic areas especially Piazza del Duomo which is surrounded by Baroque architecture. The Neapolis Archaeological Park where both the impressive Greek Theatre and the Roman Ampitheatre can be seen are within a 15 minute drive or a 30 minute walk. Noto is approximately 30 minute drive south and has many beautiful restored Baroque buildings. The Valley of the Temples at Agrigento would take approximately ninety minutes and Mount Etna is about an hour north of Ortigia.
