Alloggi Barbaria is located in a quiet neighborhood, in the city of Venice. The hotel is located near the Fondamente Nove and this is part of its charm; you don\'t feel any of the mass tourist pressure here.

The Guesthouse is easy to reach from either the Marco Polo International Airport (as it is only a 7 minute walk along the waterfront to the hotel from Fondamente Nove water bus station) or the train station and Piazzale Roma car parking.

Alloggi Barbaria is conveniently located only 200 m. from "Ospedale" public waterbus stop which saves you from carrying bags through the streets of Venice to get to the guesthouse. It's only 100 m. from both a supermarket and an Internet cafe.

A platform stair lift for the disabled has recently been installed. This hotel offers a friendly and homey atmosphere to its guests who are invited to enjoy the terrace where they can relax and have breakfast in the open air during the warm months. The staff is extremely caring and is at your entire disposal in order to make your stay a memorable one.

All of the simple but spacious, clean, and comfortable rooms have a private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, free wi-fi, direct - dial telephone, minibar, color TV, air conditioning, independent heating, and safe. Many of the rooms have satellite TV as well.

Directions

From the Marco Polo Airport (Tessera):


The best way to reach Locanda Matir is to take a private water taxi. In 1/2 hour you'll get Rio Ca' Foscari, where the inn is situated.

If not there is the public road bus service (ACTV or ATVO lines) which connects the airport to the Car Terminal of Piazzale Roma in 20 minutes. Then, you have 10 minutes walking to St. Margherita Square, or the water buses to San Tomà or Ca' Rezzonico (see indications from Car Terminal of Piazzale Roma).

Other choice is the water shuttle ALILAGUNA, which, through the Venetian lagoon, will bring you directly to St. Mark's Square in 1 hour and 10 minutes. Then with public boat (line 1) you'll get off at at Ca' Rezzonico station (stop 11) or at San Tomà (stop 10). From there with a short walk you will reach St Margherita Square, where we are.


From Car Terminal of Piazzale Roma:

By public water buses (line 1) you have to cross the Canal Grande and get off at the stations of San Tomà (stop 10) or Ca' Rezzonico (stop 11), after a 40 minutes journey. Then, following the directions to Piazzale Roma, you have to walk through St. Barnaba Square and 'Ponte dei Pugni', and, in few steps, you'll find us.


From Tronchetto Parking Area:

The private water taxi is the best and fastest way to reach Rio Ca' Foscari, where we are located.

Alternatively you may catch the public line 2 untill Piazzale Roma, and, once you are there, following the indications to Accademia, you'll find the inn after a 10 minutes walking.



From St. Lucia Railway Station:


By private water taxi directly to the inn in 10 minutes.


By public water bus (line 1) to San Tomà (stop 10) or Ca' Rezzonico (stop 11) as from the Car Terminal of Piazzale Roma
