Our friendly guesthouse is housed in a charming 19th century building on beautiful Calle de Atocha in the centre of Madrid. Within 15 minutes walk you can find the Prado, Thyssen and Reina Sofia museums, historic buildings, cinemas, shopping and Madrid's thriving nightlife. Our central location makes us easy to find.

We offer free maps of Madrid, in-room TVs, en suite bathrooms, free linen and towels, free Wi-Fi, central heating, and no curfew! For those hot Madrileña days you can also request air conditioning for only €5 per day. We're happy to store your luggage after check out. Some of our rooms have great views of San Sebastian church!

Our guesthouse is run by a travel photographer, an artist and an archaeologist, offering guests a personalised and friendly service in English and Spanish. We're recommended by Lonely Planet!

Directions:
Once you arrive at the airport take the metro (Pink line 8, direction Nuevos Ministerios) and get off at the last stop, Nuevos Ministerios. There you take the Renfe Cercanías (commuter train) from Platform 8 and you get off at the first stop,Sol.

When arriving by train (metro Atocha or Chamartin) take the blue line (1) upto Sol.

If you arrive by bus (Avenida America metro stop) take take the grey line (6) upto 'Cuatro Caminos' station and change there to Line 1 direction Valdecarros upto 'Sol' station. If you arrive at the south bus stop, (metro Mendez Alvaro) catch the grey line (6) in the direction of Moncloa and transfer to the blue line (1) at Pacifico, in the direction of Plaza de Castilla and get off at the Sol metro stop.

When you arrive to the Sol metro station, take exit (salida) for 'Carmen.' When you exit, look for calle carmen that is on your right and walk along Calle Carmen, walk three blocks in this street (Calle el Carmen), and then you will find the hostel on your right hand on number 16. The main entrance is a big brown door situated between a bag store and a shoe shop. We are situated on the third floor (there is no elevator).
