The mighty Atlantic ocean and the infamous sandbars known as the Diamond Shoals surround Hatteras Island and the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse in Buxton. The motel is within 10 miles of the Ocracoke Island ferry and close to the famed kiteboarding area Canadian Hole.
