Active Adventure

We are a small British family run holiday centre here in Sicily. We specialise in horse riding holidays but our extensive travelling around the island have enabled us to learn a lot about it and its history and we do design itineraries to suit every taste. Our place in Alia is in the midst of a mountainous farming comunity and the emphasis is on nature and old style living. We are within reach of all types of places and mix the old with the new to produce fun holidays with constant action and activity.

Typical Day

A typical day depends on the type of holiday chosen. On Horse ridden holidays, we would have breakfast and ride out in the morning. We endeavour to make each ride have a specific destination or point of interest. For example, we may ride out to the "Grotte della Gurfa", prehistoric caves dug out by unknown civilisations and stop for some refreshments whilst there. Some days we would drive to various points of interest in Sicily and every night we dine out in different spots. In this way we believe we can make our holidays some of the best fun ones around.

Age range, type of group

We cater for all types of clients. For our horse-riding holidays we can take care of beginners all the way through experts. Our horses are not plodders and have enough spirit to make the rides fun for those who want that. However, they are all impeccably mannered and easy to manage by all levels. All are trained and ridden by Pippa who is 12 years old.
We do ensure that groups do not vary wildly in ability. If such a group wants to book and they are aware of each other abilities we go ahead, but if we have one level booked already, we turn down subsequent bookings if they do not match the first booked ability.

Sleeping and meals

We have three rooms on our site, situated in the beautiful Gurfa valley, but we also work with a number of accomodation providers. Most holiday packs include the first night in a Palermo B&B, right in the heart of the Palermitan nightlife, close to the Piazza Politeama. Around our area here, we can use a selection of villas, farmhouses or summer houses. Villa accomodation includes the use of a swimming pool.

Restrictions

We love animals and can cater for pets too.

Varoius Holiday packs are available starting with a four-day pack (all inclusive, plus excursions etc) at 489 Euros. We also tailor the holiday to your desires and budgets, so I suggest you get in touch with your queries.

Other Information

Many (almost all) of our clients have become our friends, staying in touch after thier departure and returning for other visits. We enjoy the holidays as much as our clients do and this makes for a fun and friendly atmosphere which is so important on these type of vacations.
