Typical Day

Pre - sunrise departure from lighted pier. 5 mile protected run to the Laguna. Set up for first drift by sunrise. Fish until 2 pm. Return to lodge to rest, clean up, light the the fire for a barbeque, mix a few drinks and relax. At sunset turn the lights on for night fishing off the pier for speckled trout. Some nights anglers experience non stop catching action!

Sleeping and meals

Upscale waterfront lodge accommodations in three units that can be separated or combined to sleep as few as 2 or as many as 28 guests. All units come complete with full service kitchen with all the utensils necessary to cook your meals. Complimentary coffee is included. There are a couple of local restaurant only a few minutes away, serving excellent local fare. Guests can also make arrangements through the lodge to have part or all of their event catered.

No smoking inside the lodge. Kennel trained dogs are welcome.

Casa Arroyo City is located along the banks of the Arroyo Colorado in the remote town of Arroyo City. It is a sportsman's paradise. Offering convenient access to the best fishing on the Lower Laguna Madre, easy access to surrounding fields and ranches, popular birding destinations Adolph Thomae County Park & Laguna Atascosa Wildlife Reserve.

Make Birding Shuttle arrangements through the lodge. Take an air conditioned van from the lodge to the Laguna Atascosa to drive the shores of the Laguna Madre.

Rent kayaks through the lodge. 2 kayaks & trailer ready to go anywhere. Drift the shallow clear waters of the Lower Laguna Madre. Fishing, wildlife viewing & more.
