Located on Victoria's most beautiful coastline. Known as Ship wreck coast, Torquay lies at the mouth of the Great Ocean Road. Torquay is your fist encounter and from then on the road leads you to a wealth of Victorian beauty, from the Surf to unimaginable sea views that take you all the way to Adelaide.

Bells Beach Lodge, recently renovated offers a home from home. Clean and comfortable people usually want to stay longer.

Run by Myself (Carole Ann) and my Daughter Abigail, our hostel is a beacon for surfers who like to eat well, get a good nights sleep and be up in time to catch the sunrise. If your not a surfer thats ok too, you can enjoy the sunbathing, return to a good hot shower and settle down to a nice meal. We prepare and serve all the home made meals so our guests can sit and chat, sometimes the buzz starts at our place then moves to our local pub (Torqauy Motel) The TV room is seperate from the house so the early sleepers need not worry. We also offer surf hire for those who just want to have a go. Watch out for the big event at Easter, our Ripcurl world championship, early bookings are required.
We have a good size garden area and car parking.

Bells Beach Lodge is a great place to meet other travellers, picking up a lift and sharing the petrol costs is a good way to see the Ocean Road.

Directions

From Melbourne take a train to Geelong, then the V-Line bus to Torquay, ask for Torquay stop 2 which is right opposite Bells Beach Lodge. Thats the same bus stop you will return to for the rest of your journey onto the Ocean Road, Lorne - Apollo Bay etc.

Avalon airport shuttle operates into Torquay so check out their web site. They know us and will drop you right at the door. Let us know if your arriving at silly times, and remember there is no need to be stranded.
