This Youth Hostel is just steps from the Byward Market, Ottawa new Convention Center, Parliament Hill, Ottawa's best museums, the University of Ottawa, US Embassy, the Rideau Centre Shopping Mall and the Rideau Canal.
The Barefoot Hostel is in a perfect location to explore Canada's amazing capital. Ottawa's hottest bars and best restaurants are minutes from Barefoot's doorsteps.

The Barefoot is a 100-year-old traditional red-brick house A/C with a stylish interior, nice furniture, modern lighting and bright colors. It offers a comfortable and safe environment for backpackers.

• 4 mixed dormitory style rooms (4 beds per room) equipped with European style Duvet and Cover, along with a towel. There are 3 spacious shared bathroom.
• All rooms are NON-SMOKING!
• Our hostel has a small kitchenette with big Fridge, Microwave, Tea and Coffee maker. New 2010 BBQ outdoors.

Checking In
• Check In is located right next door at the Swiss Hotel our sister property. We ask that all our guests check in between 3pm- 11pm as that is our reception hours.
• The entrance is located on 89 Daly Ave. Upon arrival pick up the phone in the entrance, and we'll check you in!

• Reservation by Credit Cards: Visa, MC, Amex
• CANCELLATION: no later than 6pm, 48 hours prior to check-in date. Cancellation fee of 1 night will be charge within 48 hours.
• A 13% provincial tax is not included and is due upon check in

The location is PERFECT! It doesn't get any more central than this! Only 2 min. walk there is a big supermarket (metro) open 24 hours where you can buy cheap meals hot or cold and anything you need for your stay.

No matter where you are arriving from, we are easy to find.
Because of our ideal downtown core location, consider leaving the car at home. Attractions are in walking distance from the Inn. You'll save money and the environment too!

From the BUS station: Bus cost $3.25
Take bus #4 (Downtown) to the Rideau Centre and walk 3 min. to 455 Cumberland. Alternatively, $13 taxi or 45 minute walk. If coming from Montreal, ask driver before boarding bus to drop you off at University of Ottawa (2 minute walk to 455 Cumberland)

BY CAR: Toronto/Montreal via Highway 417
417 exit Nicholas Street. Continue to Laurier Ave - turn right. Turn left off Laurier onto Cumberland. Barefoot is on your right side on Cumberland Street.

From the VIA TRAIN station:
Take any bus #95 going downtown to University of Ottawa or MacKenzie King Bridge and walk 2 min. to Barefoot Hostel. Alternatively, $15 taxi or 1 hour walk.

From the AIRPORT:Bus cost $3.00
Take bus #97 (Kanata) to MacKenzie King Bridge. Walk 2 blocks East. Alternatively, $35 taxi or $15 airport shuttle bus to Les Suites Hotel (two minute walk from hotel).
