Samán Hostel

We offer lodging in shared rooms with bunk beds as well as in familiar rooms with double beds. These include all the linen and towels. Our 3 bathrooms have hot water and great showers 24 hours.

We guarantee the cleanest and peaceful atmosphere to our visitors. Besides, our guests have wireless access to Internet in every room. there is also a very nice living room with tv and dvd and a courtyard with hammocks. For smoking people, Samán has a balcony.

We have free coffee all day long, open kitchen full equipated and laundry service for a cheap price.

Finally, as it is in our best interest helping our guests to enjoy the beauty of Medellin and Colombia, we give a kind and friendly attention to them, including useful information to enjoy their visit to Medellin.


The check in is 24 hours and the check out is until 12 am. We can keep the luggage after check out in agree with our visitors. There is also 24 hours reception. We only take cash in colombian pesos, US dollars or euros. We don´t have minimum time to stay.

We may arrange a cab service for you from any of the airports to Saman Hostel. However, if you prefer to do it on your own, follow these directions:

Directions from 'Jose Maria Cordova' International Airport:

- Take a bus or share a cab to Medellin.
- Once in Medellin, get into any Metro station. You may ask the taxi/bus driver about how to get to a Metro station. Any station would work.
- Now that you are in the Metro System, take a train to 'Poblado' station.
- Exit on the North East side of 'Poblado' station.
- Take either a cab or a bus to get to Saman Hostel.
- If you take a cab, give Saman Hostel's address to the driver: Calle 10 #36-24
- If you take a bus, make sure it goes to any of the following destinations: 'El tesoro', 'Viscaya', 'La 10'.
- The bus/cab will go along the 'Calle 10' (10th street). Stop in the corner of 'Calle 10' and 'Carrera 36' (36th street). You will find this corner easily because there is a Domino's Pizza on the right hand side of 'Calle 10'.
- Saman Hostel is across the street, just in front of Domino's Pizza.

- Take a cab and give Saman Hostel's address to the driver: Calle 10 #36-24
- The cab will eventually go along the 'Calle 10' (10th street). Stop in the corner of 'Calle 10' and 'Carrera 36' (36th street). You will find this corner easily because there is a Domino's Pizza on the right hand side of 'Calle 10'.
- Saman Hostel is across the street, just in front of Domino's Pizza.
