East Hostel

BRAND NEW East Hostel offers budget accommodation at the highest standard. We capitalize on cleanliness, fun, complete information, total support, a little indulgence and a lot of character in the settings of a period building conveniently located within a walking distance of 6 minutes in a straight line from the Gara de Nord train station and just another stone's throw away from the city centre. Transport by taxi or bus to our hostel and then further to the center is not necessary. However, we are situated right next to a bus stop and tram station with the benefit of easy access to any point of interest in the city.

Thanks to our international staff, East Hostel currently speaks 9 languages, with an eye on expanding our vocabulary to deliver to you in your own language A-Z information about your surroundings. Bucharest is as much an awe- as a woe-inspiring place. Expect to be inevitably impressed by it. We organize themed guided tours of Bucharest and vicinity. We feature a wide range of material on Romania, Eastern Europe and the Balkans to inform you on where to go from here and why.

We have a QUIET TIME starting with 11 P.M. However, if you would like to enjoy the night in an unrestrained fashion, you can do so in the nearby bars and clubs and sometimes a member of the staff will even join the party.
* YOU ARE NOT A HEAVY SMOKER - East Hostel is strictly non-smoking and thus it might not be the most comfortable place for you as SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED, NEITHER INSIDE NOR OUTSIDE IN FRONT OF THE BUILDING.

Whether you travel on your own or in the company of your friends, we offer the perfect frame for interacting with other travelers and Eastern explorers like you. In or out, at East Hostel, days and nights will be well spent. Our free breakfast is aimed to make your day from its early (or not so early) start (8 a.m.-10 a.m.).On request , we will fix you with sandwiches for the day, recommend you the best, the cheapest, the nearest, most in your way places to eat out or we'll arrange home deliveries at your convenience. Every night we will prepare you a snack or we might surprise you with a traditional Romanian dinner. While here, stay connected to the rest of the world through our free Internet service provided both wireless and on workstation. If you prefer reading over socializing, here you are well supplied with International newspapers and magazines and, more important, a complete collection of travel guides in various languages.

* Please ring the white doorbell on the left (as indicated on picture no. 9)
* Check-out 11.00 am/ Earliest check-in 14.00 pm (we need to allow other guests to check-out ,clean the hostel and prepare your bed first, but of course if you are arriving early in Bucharest you can leave your luggage at the hostel)


PS : Our crisp interior is the perfect antithesis to the exterior, which, like many a beautiful Bucharest townhouse, is waiting to regain its past glory. Do step in… it''s the inside that counts!

Directions

From the main train station (Gara de Nord) : just 6 minutes walk.At the train station take the exit on the far left, turn right on Street Calea Grivitei and walk straight till you see on the left side a big white church on the corner of Calea Grivitei with Street Sfintii Voievozi(our street). Turn left into Street Sfintii Voievozi, we are located at no.1.

From the airport Henri Coanda and airport Baneasa : Take the bus 783 and get off at the stop 'Piata Victoriei'.Then take tram no. 20 (the stop is across the goverment building, in front of BRD tower)2 stops , turn back a few meters to the crossroads and turn right on Street Calea Grivitei.Walk straight aprox.2 minutes till you see on the left side a big white church on the corner of Calea Grivitei with Street Sfintii Voievozi(our street). Turn left into Street Sfintii Voievozi, we are located at no.1 .

From Piata Romana (center) : take bus 133, stop is in front of the Economics University (ASE building) 2 stops,get off at Sfintii Voievozi. Turn back a few meters till you see on the left side a big white church on the corner of the Street Calea Grivitei with Street Sfintii Voievozi (our street). Turn left into Street Sfintii Voievozi,we are located at no.1 .

Please note that we dont have a signboard yet,our door is right next to the house number. The doorbell is on the left side.
