Surrounding Area
A relatively quiet mountain town, Katoomba is home to a range of boutique shops and some of the best dining west of Sydney.
It is also a short distance from many look outs, walking trails, climbing areas and canyons.
A train line runs through the centre of town making it easy to get to from Sydney.

Our spacious hostel, with an extensive kitchen and communal areas, BBQ facilities, free guest laundry, Internet and WIFI, offers all the creature comforts of home.
Working with the major tour and activity guides, we believe we have put together a variety of packages which would suit all travellers, from first-time adventurers to those who really want to test themselves.
Our extra large communal areas are perfect for winding down after a hectic day of exploring.
A huge lounge room provides comfortable sofas, big screen TV and a roaring fire when the winter winds hit.
A large kitchen contains all the latest mod cons for all those who want to show off their culinary skills.
Whether heading out for a day at Jenolan Caves, exploring the walks of Blackheath, Wentworth Falls or Katoomba or enjoying the art deco streetscapes, Blue Mountains Backpacker Hostel is the perfect home for all your adventures.
We have designed our bedrooms to suit single travelers, couples, and groups of all sizes. Looking for more privacy? We provide stylish double rooms, with or without en–suites.
Please note, a passport or three forms of ID (including one form of photo ID) will be required at check-in.
Located in the centre of Katoomba, Blue Mountains Backpacker Hostel is just 250 metres walk from the train station. Beautiful lookouts and walks are only a short distance away. Ask at our reception for all the insider tips on the best local spots.

Larger dorm rooms are 8-12 beds
Double Rooms contain comfortable double beds, TV in room, bedding, linen and towels provided
Trio Rooms contain comfortable trio bunks, TV in room, bedding, linen, and towels provided. A trio can sleep 2-3 people.
Double with Ensuite contains ensuite with shower, comfortable double beds, TV in room, bedding, linen and towels provided
Family Rooms range from 4 to 6 beds, most are ensuited.

Directions
By Car
From Sydney, take the M4 Motorway. It takes 1 hour and 40 minutes. Distance 107 km. Exit off Great Western Highway & cross over bridge above train line. Turn right at the first roundabout and you will see the building.
By Rail
Catch an hourly train from Central Station Sydney. It takes two hours. We are the closest hostel to Katoomba Railway Station - only 250 Metres away. As you exit the station on the south side, turn right and follow the road up, just past the bridge you will see our hostel on the left.
