In ancient time. Dali is a woman’s kingdom
The legend story about Avastilosvara became a local woman to rescue village people from a war in Ming dynasty.
One day lots of robber and enemy come to the village try to start a war, a old lady carry a huge stone ,and the robber ask her why you carry so much, she answered: in the village, every young guy carries three times as mine, the robber scared about it, then run away.
Actually, in local village, you will see woman do lots of hard work in farmland; carry a lot of heavy things, you have to respect and admire woman there.

Shibao Mountain located in the northwestof Dali, contains Buddist rock carvings and temples of over 1300 years old with, amongst others, images of the Bodisattva Guanyin, and lady's produced organ. Local people often worship for pray for giving birth no pain delivery. They are art treasures of the Nanzhan Kingdom and the Dali Kingdom.
Wenhai is located on the southern slope of Yulong (Jade Dragon) snow mountain and it is a part of the Lashihai provincial level Alpine Wetlands Nature Reserve.There are also unique wild flowers that bloom all four seasons. Wenhai is also home to a variety of economically viable mushrooms and precious medicinal herbs. Every year between November and January of the next year,birds from as far as Siberia and Qinghai come to Wenhai to rest, creating a great opportunity for bird watching in the area.
Keep taking your steps, reach the formal residence of Rock the American scholar, you will understand why Rock said: I prefer dying amidst the flowers which at the foot of Jade dragon mountain rather than lying on the bed of Hospitals…………………………………….

Typical Day

Day1 Kunming-Dali
Departure from Kunming to Dali, visit the old historical town , and the museum and the legend story about the local Bai village, take a cable car or trekking to Cangshan mountain, visit the mountain view, spent one night over in traditional Bai Ethnic style hotel.(B.L.D.)

Day2.Dali
Every 5/10/15/20/25/30th there is the local market and spent the day in 1000+year old ancient town, learning about the local religion,Go fishing at sunset ,have dinner and spent one night with local family.
Or visit a fishing island, with 4000+ year old fishing village; spend one night in a lakeside lodge. (B.L.D.)

Day3. Dali-Shaxi
Take a bus to Shaxi, the ancient tea horse caravan trail, stroll around ancient town and local village, visit the traditional theater and temple, and most prosperity tea horse family in history garden, listening to the historical stories about the tea horse caravan trail,stay one night in the local traditional tea horse caravan hotel.(B.L.D.)
Shaxi in the historic Market Square of the old village of Sideng, a once vibrant staging post along the Tea and Horse Caravan Trail, which primarily channeled trade in tea, horses and other valuables between diverse ethnic groups residing along the eastern Himalayan riff beginning in the Tang Dynasty (618 – 907). Sideng flourished over five centuries throughout the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368 – 1911) haven't been before stalled under the changing economic, political and industrial landscape of the mid-20th century.

Day4 Visit Shibao mountain - woman's kingdom-the indian buddhism carving,and fresco.

Day 5 Lijiang
Take bus to Lijiang, stroll around Lijiang old town, black dragon pool ,Mu masion, and Naxi museum,at night enjoy the traditional Naxi musical performance,stay one night in Lijiang

Day 6. Walk around the Baisha
the old village which is the dubition the incredible frescoes telling you the history .
then you keep taking your steps , reach the fomal residence of Rock the American scorlar , you will understand why Rock said:i prefer dying amist the flowers which at the foot of Jade dragon mountain rather than lying on the bed of Hospitals.Pilgrimage from Shuhe to Yuhu village, to understand more deep culture of the Naxi,and Yi ethnic culture .
Where is at the foot of Jade dragon snow mountains,on the way visit the frescoes and the Tibentan style monestry, and the formal residence of American scorlar.spent one night in Shuhe town.(B.L.D.)

Day 7 We will drive to Wenhai Village.
There are two clans in Wenhai lower village,whose bloodlines are from the Tibetans and the Bais, but are also being regarded as Naxi people now. north of the Wenhai villages is the Xuehua village where there lives a group of yis ,who still maintin their very simple and traditional lifestyle of the yi people.
It is a Xanadu where the strangers are seldom reached. You can enjoy the marvellous landscape of the lake and the pasture near the village. Stay overnight at Eco-Lodge which is joint operated by the local 56 families.

Day 8 Flight from Lijiang to Kunming, then back home
