Surrounding Area

Historic area featuring the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, an old fort, and
Colonial Pemaquid. A beautiful white sand beach is nearby. New Harbor is
a lovely harbor with many lobster boats as well as pleasure crafts. Watching
the fishermen bringing in their catch is a favorite pasttime of many. Round
Pond is also nearby. There are many summer restaurants and lobster docks and an abundance of antique shops in the surrounding area. Red's Eats
in Wiscasset and Moody's Diner in Waldoboro have both been written up in
many travel magazines. They are a few short miles away. The mid-coast area
is a favorite vacation spot.

Vacation Rental Property

We offer 3 different cottages to rent and are open from May 15 to Nov. 1
except for the Hamilton Cottage which is open year-round.

The Point House - Miles of Atlantic Ocean views interrupted only by Monhegan Island shimmering on the horizon make this three bedroom cottage a summertime favorite. Sit on the deck and listen to the surf pound on the rocks below.

The Hamilton Cottage - Open all year. Three night minimum rental off season. View John's Bay in this newly remodeled and winterized three bedroom cottage that insures a warm retreat any time of the year. Open
year round (with one bedroom only). Also has a double futon.

The Bay Shack - Enjoy a cozy one bedroom get-away for a small family or just the two of you; walk out onto the covered porch for a beautiful view of John's Bay. It's a few steps across the lawn onto the dock.

Sleeps & # of Bedrooms

The Point Cottage has 3+ bedrooms but can only accommodate 6 people unless
one was a young child. The bedrooms are large and airy and 2 overlook the
open ocean. There is one large bathroom with shower.

The Hamilton Cottage has 3 small bedrooms and will accommodate 6 but that
might be a bit crowded in the one small bathroom with shower.

The Bay Shack sleeps 2 comfortably but there is also a bunkroom for 2 small
children. The couch also opens into a bed. One small bathroom with tub.

Amenities

The Point Cottage has a fireplace, basic cable TV, DVD player, telephone and
Internet or WIFI access. Fully equipped large kitchen.

The Hamilton Cottage has a TV and DVD player, telephone and WIFI and Internet access. There is a fully equipped kitchen.

The Bay Shack has a TV and DVD player, telephone and possibly Internet and
WIFI access. There is a fully equipped kitchen.

Policies & Restrictions

A nonrefundable deposit is required to hold the rental. The balance is due upon
arrival. There is a 7% Maine Casual Renter's Tax added to each rental.

Children are welcome.

Pets will be considered but not necessarily accepted. Only one pet per
rental. Check with owner.

There is no smoking in any of the cottages.

Directions

More detailed directions will be provided upon rental.

Basically the Pemaquid Area is accessed off Route 1 in Damariscotta.
Pemaquid Point is approximately 16 miles while the other cottages are
approximately 12 miles. Bristol is the location of our town hall and New
Harbor is our quaint little village that offers a few services, like a bank,
garage, grocery store and church.

Discounts Offered

Discounts for rentals of 3 weeks or longer will be offered.
