The place is really quite and it will be ideal after you have been traveling through other big touristy cities. It allows you to experience the beautiful Italian countryside and really relax.

The surrounding area also offers many activities that you can do on your own, like hiking to a small nearby village further in the mountains, called Pescosolido. A day hike to a waterfall in the mountains of the Abruzzi National Park, or walking into the lively town of Sora. There is information about the surrounding area and available activities in the unit and you can always ask us for a little local advice on what to do and see while you are here.
Via Piana is only 5 minutes away from the center of Forcella, another small village, that has a grocery store which makes cooking very convenient. Sora is a much bigger town and has a lot more to offer in terms of shopping and restaurants, and it is very easy to access walking or by bus. Sora isn't on the path of most tourists who visit Italy so it offers a more authentic Italian experience. There is a beautiful river that runs through the town and a historic city center.
There are also good gelaterias in Sora and it is very enjoyable to spend at least one day wandering around the town. Staying at Via Piana provides a more complete experience with the opportunity to enjoy various aspects of Italian culture without sacrificing the advantages of a larger town.
Also one of the main features of our project is that it is the only guesthouse in the area where you can find foreigners. It is a little microcosm where you will find people from all over the world that have so much in common with you sharing the same values and have the same open-mindness and at the same time you are really in one of the less touristy area of Italy and the most beautiful. A real undiscovered gem.
