The 'Maison de Charme Balbi' is a small, quaint, clean and extremly centrally located little geust-house.
We are only minutes from both Saint Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge and market area. Very close by you amy catch all boats for all the islands.
Our geust-house is in a XVth century Palazzo with marble art-work inside our Palaces private court-yard. If you are treating yourselves to luxury and catching a private water-taxi to reach us you may be left on our front door considering we have a private water-deck.
Our rooms are very well heated and air conditioned and we have an excellent pressure and hot water system in our building. We hope to have you as our geusts. Maria the wifes owner is from Brasil so our portuguese is excellent and we get along with some other languages as well.
You have your own keys to come and go but other people and ouselves are also in the house which is quiet and quaint...so silence is important.
Check in 12pm, check out 10.30am.
We are between the stops of Rialto and Saint Marks Square. If you are arriving from the train statio it may be easier to get off at the Rialto Bridge...or if you want to make the best of your 'Vaporetto ticket' just stay on the Vaporetto and go all the way to Saint Marks Square.
Once off at the stop 'San Marco' you must cross the square and and get to 'Piazzetta dei Leoncini' which is the small little square next to the Basilica with the 2 lions. From there just catch 'Calle Specchieri' and at 100 metres you will find a little 'Campo' (little square) called 'Campo della Guerra'.
We are at the number 515. From Rialto instead go towards San Marco and in Campo San Zulian (where the Cartier shop is) gom left right left (20 metre all together) there is 'Campo della Guerra' anjd juyst ring us the number 515.
