Captain Chris is ready to take you on an authentic whale and wildlife adventure in comfort and style. Step aboard our custom built cruiser, the 13.1-m (43 ft) M/V Island Quest, as a truly exhilarating and memorable Bay of Fundy experience awaits! Brace yourself for the thrill of encountering Humpback, Finback, Minke and North Atlantic Right Whales in their natural environment; discover scenic lighthouses, small islands teeming with bird life, Bald eagles, guillimonts, kittiwakes, cormorants, seals, porpoise, Basking sharks and tuna, make for an exciting wildlife experience.

You'll likely observe the catch of the day because Captain Chris knows the waters of the Bay of Fundy, salmon farming and weir fishing techniques. His comments are flavoured with personal reminiscences as a local boy growing up with the fishing traditions of his family. Scallops, lobster and herring - Chris has fished them all.

Our marine biologists are thrilled to share their extensive knowledge of the ocean and marine life that thrives in it and will assist you with whale sightings. There's always shelter from the wind on the covered lower deck, but it's on the upper deck where the spectacular 360-degree view of sea, sky and coast will astound you! Get up-close-and-personal with the under-sea life found in our onboard touch tank. Feel samples of whale baleen and take the helm to receive your 'Captain for a Day' certificate. Enjoy a complimentary seafood snack and refreshment on the way back to port.

Our captain and crew acknowledge that the ocean is a very special place and home to a variety of marine wildlife. While no one can determine what wildlife you will encounter, we guarantee with our speed, networking and experience you’ll enjoy the best of what the bay has to offer!
By rare chance if no whale you see, Come cruise again for free! (Seasonal) Starts July 15th to October 15th.

Rates

$52 per Adult; $48 per Senior/ Student; $34 per Youth (16 and under); $160 per Family (2 Adults & 2 Youth). Group & charter rates available upon request.

Other Information

Our 2.5- to 3-hour whale & wildlife adventures depart daily from June 10 to 30 at 2 p.m.; July 1 to September 10 at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.; September 11 to 30 at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.; October 1 to 15 at 1 p.m. (Atlantic time)
