Sunny Guest House is a small country village B&B, located in the middle of the Duo Yi Shu Village rice fields, the picture above is from our top balcony. You'll find Duo Yi Shi Village to be untouched by the industrialisation and tourism race; life here continues to revolve around harvests, markets and customary practices. Our Guesthouse is country simple, but we ensure that we give our Guests all the services (see below) and standards they'd expect at very modest price.

Q2: How can you get to the Sunny Guest House?
1. Heading from Kunming
Option 1:
Step 1：Go to Kunming's new south traffic centre, buy a ticket to Yuanyang,
Destination: New street town (Xinjie town)
Ticket: about RMB135
Departure time: 10:20 am, arriving time: 4:30 pm
20:20 pm, arriving time: 5:30 am, the next morning
Step 2： After arriving the Xinjie Town, one can choose the public transportation to the direction of Duoyishu, Lian-ban-chan or Ganiang, or rent a minibus outside the bus station. Destination: Pugao Laozhai.
Public transportation: RMB15-20/Person
Rental for a minibus: around 100RMB,
or you can call the guest house in advance, we would arrange a minibus at a discount.
Time from Xinjie Town to the Sunny Guest House: about 1 hour.

Some reminders for Option 1:
A: The new south traffic centre of Kunming is 15km away from downtown, make sure to save enough time for the traffic when heading from downtown. 2 hours or more is highly recommended.
B. For those arriving in the morning, and want to hike alone the resort, you can take a minibus to the Dayutang fork (8km from the Xinjie Town), and then take the road on the left side. Total 15 km to go, passing all the sight-seeing sites along the way.(tickets for Bada and Duoyishu: RMB60). Make sure to ware comfortable hiking shoes to protect the feet against the hard rocky road.

Option 2:
Go to the new east traffic centre of Kunming and take the Yunnan Express to the city of Gejiu, and then take a transfer bus from Gejiu to Ganiang. Get off the bus at Pugao laozhai of Duoyishu, the village where the Sunny Guest House is.
Ticket: about RMB110 from Kunming to Gejiu
about RMB37 from Gejiu to Duoyishu
Time table:
Kunming to Gejiu: 8:30 am or 9:10am, 4.5 h to go
Gejiu to Ganiang: 15:00 pm, 3.5 h to Pugao laozhai of Duoyishu

Some reminders for Option 2:
A: the east traffic centre of Kunming is about 15 km away from downtown; make sure you spare enough time to catch the early bus.
B: there are buses to Gejiu every half hour, but we highly recommend the Yunnan Express on 8:30 or 9:10, which runs the entire highway, and the bus is more comfortable. Besides, these two buses will be arriving around 13:00pm, thus enable the transfer from Gejiu to Ganiang.
C: the routine bus from Gejiu to Ganiang leaves around 15:00pm. Anyone who wants to catch the bus can call the guesthouse for the driver's number to make a reservation.

2. Heading from Gejiu, Jianshui, Simao, Hekou or other nearby cities:
From Gejiu: choose to take the bus to Ganiang as mentioned above, or take the bus which goes to the Xinjie town, Yuanyang County.
From other cities: take a bus to Xinjie town, Yuanyang county

Some reminders:
A: Buses to Yuanyang County might end up in Nansha town, which is about 30km away from the Xinjie, one more hour to go by car.
B: If there is no direct bus from the departure city, a transfer in Jianshui would be more convenient.
