By Train
Most international trains pull in at the monumental Stazione Centrale, Central Railway Station, which is the main railway junction in Lombardy. It lies at a short distance from the city centre and is very well served by two underground lines (lines 2 and 3) and a considerable number of trams and buses. The closest Railway Station is i Stazione di P.ta Vittoriai .
By air
Milan has two international airports: Malpensa and Linate. Malpensa airport is the main international airport. It lies at about 50 km northwest of the city.
Linate airport is around 7 km east of the city centre and it is connected to the central railway station by a shuttle bus running every 20 minutes (in the evening every 30 min.) Also ordinary city buses (n. 73) run from Linate to the centre (Piazza San Babila). We are just 10 minutes from the Linate airport, the Central railway station and the motorway exits.
The public transport system operates from 6am until midnight, but during the night there is a bus line which replaces the number 1 subway line.
