FEEL THE HISTORY

Green living in one of the most beautiful monuments of the area: Gutschow House, an important work of historicism (gothic revival and new renaissance), built in 1895 by famous German architects is the city landmark of southern Friedrichstraße. The Mecca of the magicians, in earlier times, due to the school and shop of the world famous magician Conradi-Horster. Today, thanks to Berlin housing politics by the Greens, was owned by a former tenant and migrant woman from Georgia together with two former bank chairmen. An excerpt: Jewish Museum ( the most significant example of contemporary architecture ) is our direct neighbour, Checkpoint Charlie - 2 minutes, Martin Gropius Bau ( Berlin most important exhibition hall ) - 15 min., Potsdamer Platz ( one of the most popular attractions of the New Berlin ) - 20 min., Gendarmenmarkt ( Berlin’s most magnificent square ) - 15 min., Museum Island with Pergamonmuseum, Neues Museum ( the world heritage ) - 30 min., Brandenburg Gate and Reichstag ( biggest crowd-draws ) - 30 min.At Hallesches Tor (500m) is the dock for Berlin's most popular boat tour: the bridge tour. The area has a high quality but low-cost infrastructure : organic canteen, restaurants, LPG Europe’s biggest organic supermarket , Lafayette.

Gutschow House

The Gutschow house is an important representative of Historismus (Neo-Gothic and Neo-Renaissance) of 1895, with an elaborate façade and quite some history. It is the only house in the southern Friedrichstrasse which survived the war unscathed.
