Ita Ita, good location but watch your money Javier -- Apr 03, 2010 05:30 pm Second time at Ita Ita, the staff is very friendly, but by orders of their bosses they have some rules that you have to be careful with, specifically with the exchange rate. They have their room rates in US dollars, but if you pay in colones they will charge you 10% more stating a much higher exchange rate!!! Last week the dollar was at 528 colones, but they were charging for each dollar 560 colones, so, for a 3 night stay, you end up paying around 25 usd more. And if you pay with your credit card, they will refuse to make the charge in dollars, so to charge you this extra fee. |
