We stayed at the Marina property, which was about average. It fits the bill for basics, but there are much better properties and amenities in the Palm Beach area down the road. Pros and cons below: Pros: * A private island that the Renaissance owns (you'd do yourself a disservice if you don't go) * Extremely nice room service guys * Food was excellent at the Aquarius and room service * Pool and Starbucks in the lobby * Good restaurants within walking distance, like 'Que Pasa?' and 'Delimar' Cons: * No internet available in the rooms * Very, very, very touristy * No beach near hotel (have to take boat to island, or a bus/taxi to other beaches) * Our room was extremely dark

Awesome location in Aruba...lots to do and see. This hotel has the best beaches..loved their island!! All Inclusive is the way to go if you like to drink and eat!!

I was not sure about this hotel due to mixed reviews and some people complaining the hotel was old, rooms not so good, etc, etc. Once I arrived there I knew I made the right choice, it's a really nice hotel, clean, not old at all, staff very helpful and friendly. The little private island is nice, nothing extraordinary but it serves its purpose. Make sure to go to both sides, the iguana's and the flamingo's sides. I bought the breakfast buffet at the hotel counter, breakfast is very decent, limited choices for my taste but ok. I think I had a very good deal for the price I pay. If it's of any help, I looked for reviews about food pricing in the area but I was not able to find that much information except for a couple of comments. In any case, if you want to eat some decent meal be prepared to spend easily about $20 per person. You will also find other choices like fastfood, etc etc which may be obviously cheaper. In general I think everything is a bit pricey.

The all inclusive package at the Renaissance Hotel in Aruba is the epitome of a luxury vacation. The weather is always hot, the drinks are always cold, and the staff is always willing to please. The Renaissance Hotel is the only resort with a private island. I went there on my honeymoon and will continue to return yearly. Not only would I recommend the hotel, I would tell anyone that they must stay there to experience what it is to be on a relaxing vacation.
