After deciding that it's not worth the money to stay in the Fairmont Chateau nearby, I chose this hotel. The room was decent. Staff at reception was friendly, so for short stays this is fine. Place is very close to Lake Louise (5 minute drive) so sightseeing the area is very convenient. Just a comment about the Lake Louise area: it's basically the middle of nowhere. Feels very backwater. There is a lack of decent restaurants and shopping centers. The Samson Mall nearby has the usual shops that sell tourist trinkets. My advise is to enjoy the scenery and forget about shopping.

We had the economy room. It was very small and on the 3rd floor with no elevator. The building we were in felt like a college dorm with a nice game room, laundry and vending machines in the basement. The main lobby of the hotel was nice. It had 3 restaurants that made it convenient for our meals. Lake Louise is a sleepy town. We preferred Banff as it was more lively with great restaurants, shops and entertainment.

the staff went out of there way to make me happy , I asked for refregerator to keep my medication for my diabetese they change my room to one that have freg. that was very nice to do

I booked two rooms for two nights. First night got a lot of bites overnight. Service was good and they gave us another room. However, this was not a three star hotel and in my opinion should only be two starred.
