excellent location near malecon , great room and value. the breakfast alone is worth the stay!!

Air conditioning out. Lobby and room had very musty odor. Transferred to another hotel and had to pay for our own taxi to get there.

My second stay and only disappointment was the increase in prices in the past six months. Very good breakfast, excellent front desk/lobby help, and free transfer to the airport.

I always stay at the Hampton Inn when I visit Guayaquil (&5 times a year) and absolutely love the staff, location and amenities that this place offers. It is located downtown in the center of the city, just a few blocks from the Malecon 2000. There are a number of fast food places (McDonalds, BK, Pizza Hut, KFC) within a block or two plus a lot of restaurants. Several parks are nearby, my personal favorite is the one with Iguanas about 4-5 blocks south of the hotel. The price is definitely right and includes an amazing breakfast buffet, free airport shuttle and wireless internet. If you don't have a laptop, no worry because they have a Business Center next to the lobby with a number of computers. The staff is always friendly and accomodating which is why I choose to stay here. I used to stay at the Hilton and then tried the Howard Johnson and Sheraton but in my mind none compare to this place. It is just neat to be downtown and have all the amenities offered here. There is no reason to pay $* more a night for the Hilton when this hotel is a Hilton family hotel and in my opinion is better (minus the pool) because it includes Breakfast and the beds are extremely comfortable plus it is close to everything. I definitely would recommend this place, they continually exceed my expectations and make my trip stress free!
