We stayed at the Marquis last week and it was an unbelievable experience. It was by far the quietest, most secluded place I've ever been. It was such a great, relaxing experience. And the view looking Anse Marcel Bay was unbelievable!
Alletra (sp?), Fabio, Natalie, and the rest of the staff were absolutely wonderful and attentive. The food was great, the room was clean, and the view was spectacular.
Some things to keep in mind if staying:
- It's about a half hour drive from the airport. Some taxi drivers from the airport are not exactly crazy about dropping you off or picking you up due to the very narrow and steep roads.
- Going to the beach is a breeze. They have a shuttle that will take you down to the beach and it takes no more than 2-3 minutes. They of course will also pick you up.
- There are very few restaurants in the area. We went to the Calypso one night, which is located near the beach. The food was OK. We did mostly room service and it was all delicious.
- The power went off a couple times but it was not a big deal.
We would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a true getaway. It's incredibly quiet and secluded and it forces you to relax. If you are the type of person that needs cities and activities to do, this probably isn't for you.

The Marquis Hotel leaves nothing to be desired if you are looking for a quiet slice of paradise managed by the most accommodating staff possible. Natalie, Laure and Fabio made us feel so welcomed from the moment we arrived and anticipated and satisfied all of our needs during our stay. They could not have made us feel more at home.
The Hotel is quiet, situated high on the side of the hill with a breathtaking view of the beach and ocean below. The Hotelâs cheerful, Caribbean style is welcoming while you enjoy breakfast by the pool with entertainment provided by the local finches. Our room was decorated in a personal style with dramatic colorful artwork and furniture that added to the relaxed feeling of being at the beach. For us it was the perfect vacation place and made us feel as if we were at our own luxury private Caribbean villa.
The Hotel provides a shuttle to and from the Radisson Resort located at the bottom of the hill at the beach, whenever you need it. You can call for a pick-up from the beach by simply asking the staff at the Radisson.
We highly recommend this lovely, quaint Hotel to anyone who wants to be treated like royalty by the nicest staff you could ever ask for. This little gem is the best kept secret on St. Martin

We were very satisfied with our stay at the Marquis Boutique Hotel and Spa. It was a very nice room and we loved the balcony to relax on. The view was very nice. The continental breakfast was excellent, with fresh fruit and breads. We looked forward to that every day! The staff was very friendly and ready to assist you in any way they could.
