stayed there on a business trip. Rooms are nice and clean, staff is friendly and efficient, hotel didn't lose power even once during hurricane Sandy. Tip: request a room not facing the adjacent firefighters station on M Street, to minimze noise of occasional siren

The nightly rate may seem reasonable at first, but beware! There is a charge of $12.95 for the wireless internet in the room - per 24 hours, per device! The charge to use the business center was also ridiculous, considering I have my own computer and wanted to print - not possible, you have to pay $0.50 per minute to use theirs if you want to print. Parking - $36.00 for self park, $40 for valet for one night. Breakfast would have been $15-$20 per person - we went downstairs to the Starbucks instead. I guess downtown is just expensive, but this seemed excessive!

I recently spent a couple nights at this Marriott, where I have stayed in the past with no problem, and had one of the worst experiences. They were very friendly when I was checking in, but that was the extent of their good service. When I got into the room it smelled musty and like smoke. I tried to air it out a little and eventually the smell went away a little. They were extremely busy and it wasn't a huge issue so I never put up a big fight, but never expected to be charged $300 to clean the room because of someone else... This will definitely make me think twice before getting a room here again.

The hotel was located pretty close to the metro. Staff was excellent. Bathroom a little small. Free internet only in lobby.
