Great location next to Chinatown, good Metro locations very close, plenty of places to eat, within walking distance to Capitol and that side of the Mall. We found this hotel to be a great value for the money! Our room looked like it was recently renovated, the staff was all VERY nice and helpful, good breakfast in the morning with VERY friendly staff each day, place was extremely clean, free computer and printers to use and free coffee, hot tea and hot chocolate 24 hours a day in the lobby, nice touch! We had to move to a more "expensive" hotel for a conference and actually wished we were back at the Fairfield for the above amenities the other hotel charged for and there was really no difference in the offerings in our book. They have a guest laundry available as well in case you run out of clean clothes! We would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!!

* If you are looking for a "quiet place" , this is NOT the 1, due to it being right in the heart of Chinatown area, near mega movie theater/busy metro area, but if you are looking for that mini-NY City feel in DC.. then THIS IS DEF THE SPOT ;)
Another perk is the free breakfast, the belgian waffles are huge !!, they also offer breakfast sandwiches, yogurt , fruit, cereal, pastries, great coffee and also have a business center, free wi-fi. Definitely a favorite of my financee & I!
