    Service was outstanding and the continental breakfast, cookies and cider available during the day... and the view was nothing short of spectacular... and only 45 minutes from boston logan airport.

    This visit was the first time in 15 years my husband and i were able to get away together with no kids in tow and we ended up at this ...

    This visit was the first time in 15 years my husband and I were able to get away together with no kids in tow and we ended up at this gem of a hotel in Gloucester. The staff is amazingly helpful. The rooms overlook the ocean and the hotel is situated so that you don't feel you are right on top of other hotels in the area. The balconies are not private, but that really was not a problem. People are quite respectful and small table/chair settings outside each room provide a cozy feeling. The chocolate chip cookies and coffee/tea available every afternoon/evening were a nice touch. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area and the restaurants in town. If you go, don't miss Halibut State Park and its gorgeous views. We wouldn't hesitate to return to this hotel/area.

    Great Inn. Rooms were small, but were clean, quaint, and view was fantastic. After a long day of whale watching it was great to come back to hot coffee and fresh cookies each day. Will definitely stay here again.

    Going to the Bass Rocks Ocean Inn is like going home. Always relaxing, this is the perfect place for a low key vacation ... even our college-aged sons loved it. All the rooms have been completed updated within the past year, including high-count linens and duvets. A B&B atmosphere with hotel amenities. This was our second visit and we will be back again and again.
