Noxious fumes emanating from a contruction site right next door. We were put in the back building where the smell was strongest. The management did not seem to care when we made a complaint in the morning. They were fully aware of the problem prior to our registering. Disclosure would have been nice!

I just LOVED this Best Western! The layout was very quaint and picturesque and the room very comfortable. My husband and I both have back problems and found the bed to be very comfortable. The breakfast room was clean with good food and a nice atmosphere. It was the staff, however, that topped the charts! Very professional and friendly. They made me feel welcome with their gift of hospitality. When my husband fell ill, they were very accommodating, even though it was WAY after hours! We both said that we'd certainly go back there in a heartbeat!

I stayed in a room up in the back, up the hill. There was a nice view from the front door. That was about all that I liked. The room looked last updated in the late 1970s. There was a through-the-wall airconditioner straight out of the 1970s that didn't quite do the job. The lot is not level, so the back of the room had a tiny little basement-style window up high that looked at blades of grass, and made the room feel pretty dark. The price was not spectacular. Overall not really motivated by anything enough to recommend it. On the other hand, it wasn't terrible either.

The landscaping and grounds at this hotel were really very nice, made for a very pleasant setting! And great views of the harbor in the distance. Staff was very helpful and friendly, enjoyed our stay very much!
