Stayed 2/18/2012: Remodeling of building was very nice. Pool area had heat turned off which made swimming for anyone not a good experience, especially in the middle of winter. Whirlpool not made for relaxing as it hold about 3 small adults and was used as the pool during our stay as no one wanted to swim in a 55 degree room. Breakfast was good. No morning showers due to a break in their water heater. Good atmosphere, not so helpful customer service and we felt that they were just trying to skimp on the heating of their building.
Hotel staff was not very friendly, except our housekeeper on our second room--she

1st room we were in had a problem with the shower backing up. After cleaning the tub, maintenance working on it, and finally changing rooms, 3 days later we were in a different room. Front desk seemed pretty unconcerned , no apology was made, and probably wasn't worried about taking a shower in back-up water. Ugh! Wouldn't go back.

A group of families had reservations during the annual Rochester Youth Soccer Tournament. The hotel was overrun with families from the soccer tournament, baseball tournament, billiards tournament and dance competition all in town at the same time. 'Highlights' of the weekend include a broken elevator, the pool being out of service and two false fire alarms. I found out the next day that some families had been offered a discount on their room. When I checked back to ask why I hadn't gotten the same offer, they said it was only available for a period of time and they were no longer honoring the discount offer. I was given the opportunity to leave a message for a manager, who never returned my call.
The hotel has very limited parking in a ramp with *very* low ceilings and a two way spiral drive between upper and lower level that doesn't have room for two cars to pass. Scary.
The team voted to find an alternative hotel for next year.
