They are closing this hotel and tearing it down. They are rebuilding a bigger and better one with three pools. Last date to book is October 6th. The room comes with free breakfast at Perkins for everyone in the room. Nothing fancy, just eggs, bacon or sausage, and toast or pancakes, but a great way to start the day!

The room looked old and shabby. The grout in the tub was cracked and gross. There was pink mold on the shower curtain. If you have small children the pool at this location is to deep (3ft is the shallow end). I definitely will not stay there again.

I arrived in Winona for Homecoming weekend very exited to spend the time there. I reserved a poolside room, ended up a "poolside room" meant we got to walk past the pool to the outside of the south end of the bldg - ok I can live with this cause we can park right outside our door - oh but alas, the room key isn't working on the outside door - after checking at the front desk I was informed the outside door locks were broken, we still had to walk halfway around the building - and past the pool to get to our room. Had a few minutes to stop and relax before meeting up with the kids again - plug in the computer to pull up a few emails - only to find out I have no internet service at that end of the building - but I was kindlly informed not all rooms in the hotel could recieve internet service but I could bring my computer over to the pool area I might get a signal there ...hmmmm....maybe if I'd had my poolside room I'd originally reserved.......

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are several nice hotels nearby, but this one is really a dump. If I hadn't already paid a nonrefundable full rate online I would have turned right around in the parking lot. But I guess that is the risk of renting a room online. I will NOT make that mistake again. The hotel is dirty, smelly, the employees were rude. The only positive was the breakfast at Perkins which was alright considering it's free.
