The room was stuck at about 85 degrees, but the hotel's exterior doors neither closed nor locked, so the hallways were a balmy 30 degrees (like the outdoor temperature in Fargo, ND in March). The hotel was not secure at all, there was about a 2 gap under the room's door which allowed all of the hallway noise to filter directly into the room. The door itself didn't fit the doorjamb, so the door rattled every time someone opened a nearby door or an exterior door. The television was ancient and only had red and blue for colors. The bed felt like sleeping on a wooden box with musty, outdated, scratchy sheets and bedding. This hotel earned a ZERO on a scale of 2 through 10 in my book, and I can honestly say I will NEVER stay here again. EVER.
The hotel was under construction, so I woke to power tools at 7 a.m. sharp, and absolutely everything was covered in drywall dust and masking tape. Jolly!
This hotel had the last room available in the entire city, and they made me pay for TWO nights in order to stay for ONE night, due to the demand for rooms. It was an absolutely LAST resort, but next time, I will just sleep in my car. Ridiculous.

We recently stayed at the Red River Lodge and found it to be quite comfortable. The room was small, but adequate...we were only stopping for the night. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and quiet. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Overall, it was a good value for the money and we would definitely stay here again.

I was not going to book this hotel after reading few recent reviews and than I noticed that they were writtten far apart. So I decided to take a chance since it was resonably priced and in this economy saving few dollars would be helpful. Room was small but surprinsingly place was very clean, looks like hotel was renovated recently. Nice lobby and best of all, very NICE BREAKFAST. I have not seen breakfast offering like this hotel in this price range so for the money I spent, it was well worth it. I would recommand to pay little extra to get king or double queen since room I was in was very small. Basic amenities but talking to front desk I learned that they will have LCD TVs in rooms and other upgrades which would make this even better deal. So I definately will be back because its a great value for the money spent. Advise to those complaining about features, Fargo has lots of choices in hotel but they all come with premium if you are willing to spend extra.
