The hotel was still in the process of remodeling some of the lobby, but the guest room I was in was very nice. There was plenty of room and it was well decorated. Unlike most hotels, there were plenty of electrical outlets. I was able to charge all my electronics without having to unplug any lights. The only drawback was there is almost nothing else on this exit. You have to drive west to the next exit for restaurants. Other than that it was great. I would stay here again.

We choose this motel as a halfway point between Iowa and western Colorado. After staying, I enrolled in the La Quinta rewards program. This motel ranks up there with the Holiday Inn Express and Marriott chain motels. The breakfast was excellent. Although the pool area is starting to show some age, everything else was in excellent, like new condition. We would definitely stay here again.

There are a lot of good things about this hotel. Price, distance from center city, free breakfast, free wi-fi in the room, refrigerator in room, nice outdoor warm pool. Most hotels charge for internet service but here it is free and that is a big bonus. Breakfast is easy and they put out enough to have a good variety of things. But if you need something special by way of amenities, knowledge of local activities, kayaking, or even asking for a corkscrew to open a bottle then the staff is unable to provide assistance. The workout room consists of three different machines, a treadmill, a step and a bike. Not a room you want to visit. The pool is great and open til 10 at night. We think it is a great value and would get a better review if it were a 2.5 star hotel rather than expecting a 3.
