Not a luxury hotel by any sense, but I was looking for something close to the University of NM. The staff was friendly at ALL hours, and super helpful with advice for local dining.
This was one of the worst motels I have stayed in.

Worth your while to look for another place to stay.

Oh my gosh, this place needs a major face lift. The room we stayed in smelled like cigarette smoke. Don't believe the pictures you see on the internet they are very misleading. This place looks old and rundown. We were very anxious to check out. No sooner you walk in the lobby you can smell the odor of old stale musty air. I cannot believe that this place has security guards makes me wonder what the heck they are guarding. (Maybe they are holding the door in place) Our room was full of moths and we had to giggle the toilet handle to get it to stop running. The plastic lawn chairs on the balcony were busted and broken and the rails were unstable. The television had only 24 channels no pay channels. To quote Dorothy from the movie "The Wizard of Oz" THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME.

We got a really good price for a nice double room with a balcony over looking the city. Breakfast was good and the shuttle was nice touch - but what really stood out was the staff. Everyone seemed sincerly concerned with us having a good stay and helped us at every turn.
