Within 20 minutes of checking into our room we realized there was a train track literally right outside the window and 2 trains had gone by. We promptly called the front desk and asked to be moved to another room. We were told that because we had booked through a 3rd party (travel agency) that we could not change rooms even though there were others availabe. I was very disappointed with this hotel. They were rude and unwilling to help even though we were willing to pay for the upgrade for another room. Needless to say trains went by the entire night and nobody got any sleep. I would not recommend this hotel to travellers who are looking for a restful night sleep.

Train tracks right behind the hotel. They rumble by every hour. Very difficult to sleep at night and relax during the day. Good things are the large, clean rooms and free breakfast.

When checked in we were given handicap room suite that we did not ask for. The room had no bathtubs. Just a handicap shower. Service desk would not give us another room. Railroad tracks next to building is load. Room smelled because of other guests cooking. Also, when checking in service desk was rude when we told the service desk clerk that we were there to check in and he pointed his finger at us and told us to wait a minute because he had to take a cell phone call. There are better Mariott Hotels to stay in in the Columbus area for your money! This room cost $* for one night!

Our room was #428. About 200 ft is a four lane rail road. We weren't told of the existance of this rail line when we booked our room. Everytime a train passed by(one per hour on the average) it was very loud and the whole building shook. Very hard to catch any sleep. A NIGHTMARE !! The rooms were clean and the crew very nice.... but hard to make up for the sleepless nights.
