This hotel was nice for the price and the staff made the day. From the front desk to the woman who served the breakfast, every one was so, so nice. This is a pleasant (out of the way) place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life.

I stayed for the night of 3/04/11 at the Inn in Hunts Valley, MD to attend a stoneware auction. Explicitly inquired at Front Desk, after seeing a room (on street side), if it was noisy and was told it was not. I still requested a room on the back of the Inn and was refused - they claimed none available. There were nearly no cars in their parking lot. At about 3:30 a.m. in the morning, UNABLE TO SLEEP FROM THE NOISE OF THE TRAFFIC, I called the Front Desk to complain and THEN, they agreed I could switch to a room across the hall (which obviously, was vacant all night), as was 40-50% of the Inn. It was quiet but I was so annoyed by then, I was ready to get up and leave. Their breakfast was OK. The manager gave me a $20 rebate although I requested a full refund. DON't GO THERE UNLESS YOU ARE DEAF.

This hotel is exactly what you would expect from a chain hotel. Everything is as it should be, no surprises. Hotel was clean, continental breakfast was hot and fresh. No problems w/ the staff. The location is a few miles south of the city, but still close enough that it's not a problem. Area is somewhat secluded so i wasn't concerned about vehicle safety in the parking lot. I've stayed there my last two trips to York and I would have no qualms about staying there again.
