It was Parents' Weekend at TTU and we had to go to be with our son. It was one of the last hotels that had vacancy. On the way to the hotel from Lubbock, I felt dreadful because it was far and there was absolutely nothing to see. But once at the hotel, I was pleasantly surprised because the room was clean and neat. The beds were very comfortable. I would come back to this hotel.

I stayed with my two teenage daughters while I moved my daughter into her dorm at Texas Tech. It is not the Waldorf but they don't charge Waldorf prices either. Yes, we did have an issue with the toilet not flushing but we called and they had somebody there to fix it in a matter of minutes. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
This is an older property and it does show, but they seem to take pride in trying to keep it clean and looking nice and that shows too. There were a few little things that were annoying (like no plugs near the bed to charge phones and such) but the towels were clean and soft. The breakfast wasn't the best but I have had worse.
All in all it was a pleasant enough experience and I will probably stay there again.

-We have styed here 2x. the rooms are clean well decorated and very roomy. the first time we had a queen bed it was kind of small. the water was nice and hot. could not regulate heat/cold very well. overall
a nice place. Friendly staff.........Buy the 2nd time was quiet different.: the room was too far from the water heater and water was very cold. although there were few customers. since it was a holiday, there was no maid service, I didn't mind that, but they should have put extra towels and tolit paper. The check in staff was very nice, the night staff on Thanksgiving was lazy and rude. acted mad that I interruped her when she was watching tv. Didn't make much effort to git me any towels before we were already checking out. will look for other places to stay. also asked about group discount for upcoming family gathering. it was NO discount..... Guess they don't need out business.
